We are Witnesses

Acts 22:14-16
"Then he said: ' The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear the words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.'"

We are Witnesses
I am a witness
An observer
An onlooker
A receiver
I did not do
I saw and heard the works and miracles of the Lord
I did not die on a cross to bear the earths cruelty
I just heard
And I believed
Now who am I to just sit and watch my life go by?
Now who am I to not share what I have seen and heard?
I am a witness
When Christ came into my life
He turned my heart around
Faced it the other direction
And now
I am a witness
We are witnesses that were not made to "Chase our dreams!" or "Do whatever makes us happy!"
This is what the world tells us
However
We are witnesses that are made
To serve our King
To obey when our name is called forth
To spread what we have seen and heard to the ends of the earth
We are witnesses

Hebrews 6:19-20

Ok, so it has been a LONG time since I have updated this blog! Sorry! I stopped writing for a time, and have now started back up again.
These are verses that go along with the poem that follows:
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Malchizedek." (Hebrews 6:19-20)
now the poem :)
In a forbidden place
is a promise
In a sacred place
is hope
In holy place
is salvation
Unable to enter
Unable to receive
This redemption

There is a man
A most beautiful and wonderful man
Who's name is Jesus
With a tree across his back
Blood streams down His hunched over figure and is shoved to a hill
And on that hill
God ripped the curtain that stood between you and deliverance
From top to bottom that barrier is gone
And open
For you to accept
A promise that is unshakable
Hope that will never die
And salvation that brings you to life
